Meet Annie, a dedicated and accomplished healthcare professional with nearly two decades of experience as a registered nurse under the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Specializing in critical care, Annie has devoted much of her career to the intensive care unit (ICU) and emergency department (ED), demonstrating exceptional skills and commitment to patient care.
In addition to her nursing credentials, Annie is a registered qualifying psychotherapist under the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). This dual expertise allows Annie to address the physical and mental well-being of individuals under her care.
Beyond the confines of the hospital, Annie has emerged as a prominent mental health advocate in the Niagara region. Recognizing the need for enhanced resources, she actively collaborates with local Members of the Provincial Parliament (MPPs) to champion initiatives that bring improved mental health services to the community.
Annie extends her commitment to advocacy within the healthcare community. Serving as the Disabilities Representative for the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) on the Human Rights and Equity Committee, she strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment for nurses. Additionally, Annie is actively involved in the Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression Committee, working tirelessly to promote equality and inclusive care for all Ontario nurses.
A loving mother to three boys, Annie embodies a holistic approach to life. On days off, she finds solace in literature, maintains an active lifestyle through activities like running and yoga, and generously contributes time to volunteer work at a rescue farm in Wainfleet.
